For your consideration is this uncommon vintage black standing cast iron ashtray/smoking stand from the 30's era with removable ash container that has a built in match or lighter holder and a place to rest the the cigarette. It stands a bit over 24" high and is in very nice condition with just mild rust than can be cleaned up nicely with a bit of oil and part of one edge of the match holder having broken off at some point, but this is only noticeable on close inspection. The top of the stand is a handle in the shape of a dragon head holding a ball in its' mouth with a cigar holder and ashtray with cigarette holder under it; the removable ashtray has a base that fits into a slot at the top of the stands body. The body of the stand is fairly ornate with a flower toward the top and assorted different markings along the body which is suggestive of a dragon body; the base is about 6" square with decorative markings and has the raised numbers "118411" underneath. I see solder underneath w the base meets the body and don't know if this is original or is replacing a screw; the base is very secure and stable whatever the case.
