AUCTION DESCRIPTION: Antique / Vintage Black Box with 3 Electric Motors or Devices, patent dated May 14, 1907 This old wooden box contains 3 Electric motors ( a 4th appears to have been removed). The stamped plate on each device reads as follows: THE EUGENE MEYER INSTRUMENT PATENTED MAY 14, 1907 NO. 653645 PROPERTY OF THE EUGENE MEYER VIBRATOR COMPANY NEW YORK CITY INSTRUMENT NO. 89 (The other 2 devices are marked 90 & 93) (A fourth device appears to have been removed) The box itself is veneered Black. T are pieces of the veneer missing, mostly on the front below the various connectors/knobs. The box has a glass cover and the box measures 17" L x 9" W x 6 1/2" H. It weighs about 20 lbs. I don't know the purpose of this device, however, I will assume it producers different vibrating frequencies as the devices seem to have a slightly differnt mass (see the top of each device). Anyway, I'll call it a Mysterious Black Box.
