Vintage Brass Fly Reel 19 th Century England Vintage – Made in England 1800’s Originally from England, well made and in good working condition. Dimensions: Diameter 7 cm width 2.5 cm Line weight: 3 - 5 silk Left hand wind This is a nice interesting fly reel. The first high quality fly reels were made by Ustonson starting in 1760. The company made the fishing tackle for the English Royal family of the time. This reel has some striking similarities to the Ustonson fly reels of 1820 – 1840. Namely being the signature curved handle. Eaton & Deller fly reels from the 1800’s have the very same handle design, a possible acquisition of Ustonson & Son’s by George Eaton?
