THIS IS A WONDERFUL ANTIQUE FRENCH MANNEQUIN STORE DISPLAY from the late 1800's-early 1900's

SHE IS FROM AN OLD DETROIT . MANNEQUIN WAREHOUSE THAT HAS A WONDERFUL HISTORY AND HAS BEEN A PHOTOGRAPHER'S TREASURE CHEST FOR STUNNING PHOTOJOURNAL ESSAYS. (check out TRAGIC BEAUTIES by Barbara Abel to see many of the other MANNEQUINS from Mario's)

This little French girl Mannequin is extremely life-like and is anatomically proportionate to an infant child approximately 18 months old. She measures approximately 8" high.

At her base, t is an opening (see photo) for either a countertop display (pole and base) or she would be attached to an actual full body mannequin form. She was most likely used as a life-like mannequin to display and show high end children's fashion.

Her bobbed hair, eyelashes (top and bottom) and eyebrows are actual human hair which were hot-needle inserted, each hair individually inserted. The craftsmanship and detailed work that went into this mannequin is quite incredible.

She has actual pores on her skin, her lips and skin-tone are matched beautifully to human coloration. She is over 100 years old and still commands attention when on display.

Shipping can be calculated. 7 pounds in 20x20x20 box. I have added $7.50 for packing materials as she needs to be very carefully packaged for safe shipping.

T have been NO REPAIRS to this mannequin. She has a very "porous" complexion...not a glossy smooth waxy complexion, but more of a natural one so dirt/dust particles over 100+ years have dusted her face and given her a "playing outdoors" complexion...like a small child playing outside, needing to come in at the end of the day and get a bath.

Her skin has a dirty spot on the left cheek. Up-close...t are a few tiny areas w the pores have been scraped smooth (forehead, cheek). One small chip on her lower right cheek...which looks as if she was poked. It can be filled in. All of her small imperfections are repairable and/or cleanable. I didn't feel she needed it and left her perfectly as is.

Her needle-inserted hairs are, for the most part, completely intact. Around her eyelashes t are some lashes missing. This appears to be easily remedied, if one would so desire.

Her eyes are in undamaged condition. Structurally she is in wonderful condition and is a perfect addition to a doll/mannequin collection.
