Up for auction is a stunning large hand carved wood angel measuring 18" tall x 10" x 8 1/2" wide x 30 1/2" wide at wingspan. There is a notch in the angel's back that allows the wings to be attached. The wings are cut from a single piece of wood. The angel looks like it too, was carved from a single piece of wood. The angel does have some cracks in the wood but nothing that would cause any concern. The person who carved this angel was very talented. The carving in the angel's hair and wings is very detailed and the angel's face has lots of expression. Overall in lovely condition for its age. It is old but I do not know its exact age. My guess would be the first half of the 20th century.I will ship this in 2 boxes, one for the wings and the other for the body. The angel is very heavy weighing slightly over 15 pounds before packing. I want to make sure there is enough packing material for a safe arrival. Since the wings are very large, it would be best to place it in a separate box. Terms and Conditions Shipping Costs: Shipping cost to be listed in the ad and paid at the auction's conclusion.
