~*~Hello and thank you for looking~*~ This textile is a rare and beautiful treat. This textile has to be felt and seen to be believed! ~*~* This lovely pillow sack is 100% hand-woven and comes from Eastern Europe. The weaving is beautiful folk art patterns. It is a special sack that would have been used on special occasions and is a extemely high quality textile~ The tone of the hemp on this sack is STUNNING, very deep flaxy tone. The sides are each hand stitched~*~ The band on the bottom has been woven with dyed cotton and the body of the sack is a wonderful wonderful 2 tones of hemp. This is a truly special textile of very very high quality. This sack has such a lovely festive quality~ would make a wonderful bolster pillow, sofa pillow or perfect as a floor pillow!!! ~*~ The color of the stripes are deep red and black~ SO many lovely earthy colors in the band! ~*~ ( sack 14 ) This sack measures 3.37 feet by 21.65 inches (103cm by 55cm) but is double sided, so really twice as long!) . ~ This sack has light storage dirt that will wash ~ I would recommend dry cleaning for this sack as it dates late 19th century and I just can't be sure about the fastness of the dyes.
