ANTIQUE OR VINTAGE PURPLE, GREEN, YELLOW & WHITE TULIP PATTERN QUILT, 1930'S?, 72" X 84", VERY GOOD CONDITION
Offered is a 72"x84" beautiful, predominantly purple, Tulip pattern quilt (if anyone knows actual pattern name, I'd love to know) that has been stored in a cedar chest in my paternal Grandmother's home forever. I do not know when this quilt was made. I know it is quite old; probably early 1930's. Several years ago, when I moved into this home and rediscovered these quilts, I made the horrible mistake of washing them in the machine. The overall condition of this quilt is very good. The colors are soft; the left edge is very slightly faded. T is some slight discoloration; all white back has a few minor spots; the edges are excellent It remains a beautiful quilt, with lovely "blind" purple tulips in adjacent diamonds, and a very nice sort of "bars" border. I've always thought these quilts (the blue one is listed also) would be so charming on children's twin beds, or guest beds. They fit nicely on a double bed. The photos show the quilt on a king size bed, for further size reference. I have tried to describe and show the condition of this piece as accurately as possible. Please don't hesitate to ask for more information and/or more detailed photographs before you consider bidding. Somewhat uneasily, t is no reserve. Thank you for your interest.
