Lovely wood and brass rifle shell measure with a host of useful (or not so useful!) information engraved on it. There is also a small spirit level on the top edge of the measure. A very nice item of militaria that is decorative and still useful. Inscription on rulers (both sides) reads: 9.5 inch subtends 1’ minute at 1000 yards very nearly Bokers wood time fuse burns in 5.26 seconds in or 1 second in 0.9 In rifle shells 1 IN:IN 4: 44 seconds or 0.23 inches For large ML rifle shells allow 1 second to 340 yards BL rifle shells 1 320 yards HE shells using E fuze 1 300 yards Marked one edge from 3 P R to 24 P R Marked one edge in millimetres Marked one edge in inches Includes formula for measuring spherical shells Includes formula for measuring rifle shells in piles Includes formula for measuring spherical shells in square piles
