This is an unusual and VERY RARE sign. Back in the days on the culdasac or residential avenues there was one Mother voted every year to be the Block Mother. This is where everyone came if there was trouble and their own mothers or fathers were not at home. The block mother had responsibilities to the entire neighborhood and it was an honor to be selected as such a guardian. Antique sign in great need of restoration. HEAVY thick metal with lots of life left in it! Great mothers Day gift! Just repaint and give it to your favorite MOM. Measures 16" x 7" and has 4 holes for securing it to the tree outside or the porch or a handmade sign for her yard. What a great idea from the past! Everyone needs a block mother!View Similar Items
