Antique Vintage Deco Evans Ladies Compact Purse Signed & hallmarked EVANS Nickel Silver This fine old Art Deco ladies compact purse is a nice little piece of usable history . are some specifics : purchased several years ago in Leadville Colorado ( home of Doc Holiday ) at a wonderful antique shop - The Spanish Flea ( not sure if they are still t ) 3 " high plus another 10/16ths for the clasp / closure the original handle chain is approx 5 + inches doubled & has a bit of oxidation handle chain has a broken link & needs a gentle repair approx 1 14/16ths across Nickel Silver , also known as Alpaca or German Silver has a gold wash and silver finsh combination lovely details all around front , back and edges a nice place on the fron for a monogram but it is blank & ready for a new one interior is same as I purchased it several years ago , still has a bit of powder inside places for powder , rouge with their individual puffs also card holder ( ?) mirror is intact 'tho a bit loose & rattles if shaken clasp opens & closes firmly interesting historical compacts make fun usable pieces of time for keeping or gifting - enjoy !
