Up for auction this set of 6 hallmarked silver spoons. The only 2 hallmarks that I am sure of is the anchor & the lion which translates to Birmingham England. The " L' I believe translates to 1860. I am uncertain how the monarch profile translates as to date. The manufacture stamp is not clear enough for me to state confidently the maker of these spoons. Could be Arthur Price & Co. ca. 1902. The spoons measure 3 13/ 16" long, with the bowl measuring 1 1/16 X 7/8". On the stem t is a red bakelite bead. The spoons are in mint condition with no chips, dings, dents, cracks, fleabites nor loss of color. The box has some scuffing and t is an area on the top left that is missing the faux leather finish. ( See photo ) This is an inherited set. I have never seen another set like this, it is a fantastic addition to any antique/vintage silver collection. Any questions or need of further photos, please feel free to ask.
