Antique / Vintage Solid Wood Swivel Desk Chair Made by Milwaukee Chair Company This is a very nice desk chair made by the Milwaukee Chair Company. The company name is on a label underneath the chair. At the back of the seat is a metal tag attached with a number 49 (not sure if this is a tag added by the manufacturer or added during it's history as an inventory tag. Under the seat are the makings of 9 - 42 and 191 1/2 VH, BCH - WAL not sure what these markings are (perhaps BCH - WAL means birch Walnut, but just a guess). Between the base and the seat is a wonderful unique wooden "riser" with a label of 'Patent Pending'. I have not found another one like it. The chair has metal casters and the original patina. The chair has wonderful wooden disks below the wooden riser (between the seat and base) The seat height is also adjustable. This is a wonderful chair that is very rare and collectible.
