10 1/2" x 9" Wide x 3 1/2" High 5 lbs. Beautiful and creative reproduction antique fold out lap writing desk with a assortment of storage areas and distressed wood grain finish. Pieces like this were used as portable desks throughout the 18th and 19th century for war and travel by men and women alike. This piece folds out two ways with not only a slope surface for writing, but a place for half documents, small places for inkwells or trinkets even a small slide drawer. The outside is perfect with distressed hinges, and metal accents, and the inside smells of oil. Reminds me of something I might have found buried deep in an attic.
