~*~Hello and thank you for looking~*~ AMAZINGLY beautiful ticking~*~ Beautiful early 1900's Vintage ticking~*~ This is a wonderful wonderful textile that was intended to be stuffed with staw and used as a matress cover. This is a truly rare and wonderful textile. This textile is made from a linen cotton mix fabric. The linen is the warm flaxy toned stripe and the red and white fabric is made from a woven cotton. This textile has a stunning seersucker effect that creates this amazing texture to the fabric! Like small ripples from the different weaves, really really lovely!!! ~*~ I can see this textile making Stunning bedding or pillows!! ~*~ This fabric is a wonderful heavy weight suitable for upholstery, pillows and many other uses. ~*~*The fabric is made from sewing together 2 panels of this beautiful fabric, so each length will have a seam of the panels down the middle ( please see photographs) The seam at the bottom of the piece has come undone, so either one could sew it together to close, or if one was using it as 2 seperate panels for sewing projects, it is easy to just take apart the rest of the seam! ~*~ This wonderful textile measures 5.83 feet long by 3.24 feet wide ~*~ (178cm long 99 wide) ~*~
This lovely ticking is in great condition ~*~ ~ ~*~ it doesn't appear to ever have been used. T are some storage marks that will wash no problem, ~*~ I would wash this textile on cold ~*~ washing is easy, simply wash on cold regular cycle with Oxyclean and regular detergent.
