"United" Electric Motion Fireplace Mantel Clock Please Note: Additional Photos To Assist You Appear Beyond The Written Description Lighted Fireplace 3 DAY AUCTION NO RESERVE! Overall Condition: Nice Cosmetic Appearance Runs Intermitently, Needs Adjustment (See Description For Further Details. ) Approximate Dimensions: 8 1/2" Tall x 11" x 4" Deep This clock is all metal and has a silver tone to it with a bronzy gold tone to the face. The photo of the face doesn't do it justice. The colored center and the numbers on the face are actually a shiny metalic. T is some shallow but notable mottling and pitting to the finish of the metal in most areas. Some if not most would likely polish out T are alot of nice design details, scrollwork and flowers in abundance. The cover over the clock face is glass. I don't see any scratches to it. Unfortunately, it isn't running entirely properly. The fireplace still lights up but the motion isn't working unless you remove the back cover and give it some help. The mechanism seems to be somehow connected to the clockwork itself. When I've been able to get the fireplace mechanism to work, the second hand moves also. When one or the other stops, both things come to a halt. However the cord is in good condition! T is an on off switch for the light along with a lever to control the fire motion and a pin that sets the time on the back. T are also some scratches and wear on the surface in this area. The clock looks complete. I believe in the right hands and with a little adjustment it would work properly again. Just the same, please don't have expectations of being able to use it without making these repairs. The back is marked "Manufactured Exclusively By United Clock Corp. Brooklyn New York", "Model No. 564". The exact age of this clock is unknown, but clearly a vintage item.
