VINTAGE 1940 WESTMORLAND STERLING MILBURN ROSE Up for your consideration is one of the most sought after and truly beautiful flatware patterns ever made: the 1940 Milburn Rose sterling silver pattern made by the Westmorland Silver Company. The set includes a complete service for 8, plus extras, 48 pieces in all. The condition of the pieces is remarkable, with no bends, breaks or deep scratches. The pictures do not do justice to the lovely sterling patina. These had been lovingly kept in a two drawered, older wood storage chest, which is also included to the winning bidder. The chest is in fair to good condition, with some slight scratches to the wood. It is felt lined, and a silver polishing cloth is also included. I believe the chest is original to the set, but I'm not sure. All pieces in the set are marked "Westmorland Sterling". The set includes: 8 Knives with Stainless Steel Blades - 9" 8 Dinner F orks - 7 1/4" 8 Salad Forks - 6 1/2" 8 Teaspoons - 6" 8 Tablespoons - 7 1/2" 3 Serving Spoons - 8 1/4" 1 Spreader - 7 1/4" 1 Gravy Ladle - 7" 1 Heirloom Sterling Olive Fork found in case; has a Rose Pattern and looks nice with the set; marked Heirloom Sterling - 5 1/4" Pair of Salad Servers, 1 Large Fork and 1 Large Spoon with Sterling Milburn Rose Handles and Plastic Ends (Hard to Find) - 11" each Wooden 2 Drawer Storage
