This is an early canary coal miners lamp that was made by Wolf Saftey Lamp Company, of America Inc. New York. It is marked at the base with a brass label that reads; Wolf Saftery Lamp Company of America Inc. New York, USA The top has a brass label that reads; Mine Saftey Appliance Co. Pittisburgh USA. It also has a brass ID tag of #796 attached to the brass hook at the top of the lamp. The stricker works fine and the lamp is in very good condition. This is part of my miners equipment collection.
