A full sized 4/4 ANTIQUE VIOLIN FROM MY FATHERS COLLECTION . IVE LISTED SEVERAL OF THESE ON EBAY IN THE PAST ALL TO GOOD REPORT.MY FATHER WAS AN ANTIQUE DEALER WHO COLLECTED VIOLINS FOR OVER 2O YEARS .Everytime he whent to a sale if a violin interested him he bought it. he developed a very good eye and this violin was one of the best condition examples he aquired. It is in superb condition as far as i can see but please see photos and judge foryourselfs . please note i know little about violins its not my area.My Father told me that The violin was a continental made strad design violin, probably german or italian it comes with it original black wooden coffin case which is brass handled and brass lock mounted it even has its two original keys and the lock works t is also a bow and numerous violin items in the case compartments its a real gem! The violin has never had any repairs and has a old printed stradivarius cremona label to inside date 1659. the 59 is hand written which according to my father probably ment it was made in 1859 the violin is certainly old as is the old violin case but judge for yourselves from photos. the vioin has wooden inlay to rear and superb definition flamed back . the pegs appear to be some form of unusual wood as well it is a very high quality violin and was said to have been a proffessional musicians read more
