Antique violin thickness calipers This is a very elegant little pair of old brass calipers from the estate of a local violin maker who worked in the 40's and 50's. The device is used to determine plate thicknesses when carving violin tops and backs. Indicator lines correspond to thicknesses ranging from 0 - 5 mm. The throat is 4 1/2" deep. The jaws operate smoothly and accurately. T are no marks to indicate the maker or manufacturer. U.S. and Canada bidders only, please. Shipping is by USPS Priority Mail.
