Double your traffic. Interesting old walking cane with cast gunmetal fittings; the foot in the form of a lower leg including foot and the handle in the form of an arm terminating in a clenched fist. The metal shows remnants of silver plate and the age is probably late Victorian or Edwardian. I thought the shaft to be Rosewood but I think it is actually dark, or stained, hickory. The fittings have suffered from use, as you can see in the image of the foot, with a crack opened up at the top of the fitting, although the piece is still securely fixed to the shaft if a bit loose. The handle has suffered a similar fate with a very old repair to a fracture too the back of the fitting. Still usable and a novelty for a collection. The length is 34 1/2 inches.
