ANTIQUE WALTHAM ROLLED GOLD FULL HUNTER POCKET WATCH 1914
A super condition, good quality hunter pocket watch by The American Waltham Watch Co. USA. Which will date by the serial number 19170543 to circa 1914. The very clean movement is running with a good balance action from fully wound to run down and keeping time.Button winding and hand set both function smoothly. On the movement is American Waltham, U.S.A. TRAVELER. The rolled gold case measures 51mm diameter approx, has no plating wear, some small scratches on the side (see photo) generally in very good condition. Front cover springs open when the button is pressed and there is no plating wear anywhere. I think an added feature is the beautiful example of hand engraving on the front and back cover (see photo). SM on the front and SC back. Was this watch for a loved one of to War 1914-18? or just me being a old romamtic. White ceramic dial is in excellent undamaged condition with no cracks or chips. The pocket watch unfortunately has a discoloured acrylic crystal. I have removed the crystal for the photo. I can only describe this watch as in very good condition showing only light signs of use and I am sure the buyer will not be disappointed.
