French Antique 1800's Victorian Corset Dress Form Vintage Mannequin Please view all pictures before bidding, because this is an as-is sale. Email me with any questions. You are bidding on a Extremely Rare French Antique Victorian Corset / Dress Form Mannequin. Measures 59.5" tall (the bodice is 24.5" tall and the stand is 35"tall), the bust is 38.5" waist is 19.5" and the hips 39.5" (wow!) It appears to me that the initials on her chest are R & G or R & J. These initials are most likely the initials of the affluent lady it was made for. I bought this beautiful vintage corset mannequin at an estate sale with plans of converting it into a floor lamp, but after researching its history, thought otherwise. While I feel it would make a wonderful floor lamp, I would hate to make any changes to her that would devalue her. She is just how I found her, I will leave the cleaning to the new owner. She is naturally worn in many areas, although I think she looks more worn in these pictures than she does in person! One thing to mention is while I believe her base is original, it appears that the wooden pole in the middle was an adaption of sorts. The top spindle that spins into the bodice looks original and the same with the bottom spindle into the base looks original. The piece in between the two spindles I question. I am not sure, but be sure to look closely at my pictures to see what I am referring to.Check out the several large pictures for more details. Email any questions. Shipping with insurance will cost $55.00 to the lower 48 states only. Paypal ~ Free Auction Template Designs & More!
