Small Rivetting or Staking Set from Early 1900's labeled Matador This is a handy set of rivetting stakes that's identical to the Boley set from the same era. It has dozens of uses in watch and clockmaking, model engineering, and various hobbies. This set is well used and a few of the stakes are broken or dented from use. The change in shape might make them more useful for some other staking function, though! These sets were made to take a lot of abuse, and it still has another hundred years of use in it. I get a special pleasure out of using a tool that's been passed down through generations of creative people. It's small enough to sit on a corner of your bench, yet versatile enough that you can leave your big staking set in the box for many types of work. The bare base with no restricting arm is liberating for some jobs w having the tool perfectly upright isn't necessarily an advantage. It's a neat little tool! Thanks for bidding, -Reid
