Antique Waterbury Clock Co. of Connecticut 30 Hour "OG" counterweight clock with original brass movement. This has been tested at a local clock repair store and was demonstrated to be in good working order. Only tested for 10 minutes but it kept time and the brass pendulum and striking bell both worked. This has original handpainted tin clockface which has 2 signatures on the back (see pics #11 & #12). The first signature is a name dated Sept. 24, 1890 the second signature is a name plus the numbers 2 x 9-and a date. They are hard to read. The case for this clock is original and has a rosewood veneer on the front and on the door. The rest of the case is made of another type of wood. The glass is all original and t is a painted picture on the bottom glass of the "President's House, Wash." This is the White House in Washington D.C. T is significant paint loss but you can still tell what the picture is of. T are a few spots of veneer loss on the frame and this clock is missing its counterweights. We were told it will need two 3lb. weights to operate. T is a single crank key that works good and seems to be original to the clock. T is a label on the back of the interior identifying Waterbury Clock Co. as the maker and some instructions on how to operate the clock. The label has some missing pieces and looks very old.
