You are bidding on an antique Weed sewing machine head.The Company was established in 1854,eventually moving to Hartford,Conn.They made three models-Family Favorite,Manufacturer's Favorite,and The Hartford.The company was sold in the early 1900's to a bicycle company.This model is a Family Favorite model.Serial#238669.Has patent dates on the needle plate dating from 1867 to 1874.Shuttle has a date on it of Jan 25 1876.There is one shuttle and bobbin.There are attachments with the machine including different feet,and some needles.This machine goes up and down.The designs on it are faded,but may become better with cleaning.Bobbin winder spring is solid.Would make a great restoration project.Will be packed well,shipped with insurance,and double boxed.Any questions please ask before bidding and thanks for looking.
