Beautiful Antique 2 Weight Vienna Regulator Wall Clock Offering a beautiful antique Vienna 2 weight regulator clock that chimes the hour and half-hour on a melodious gong. This circa 1885 clock has a rich light walnut veneer with ebony colored trim and crown. The movement is unmarked, however, the gong is marked by Josef Strobl from Vienna. The clock measures 40" high (from bottom of base to top of upper crown) and 13" wide and 6 1/2" deep. The movement has been cleaned and lubricated with synthetic clock oil. The clock runs and strikes well and have tested it for well over 2 months. Condition: The case is in overall very good condition. The enameled dial has some small cracks around the chapter ring which can be seen in photos but are not evident from a distance. T is a chip in the outer edge of the door w t was probably some type of latch. T are a few worm holes in the wood and a small crack in the veneer in the lower base (see photo.) The pendulum and weights have some light tarnish but mostly from age. I'm not certain that the top crown is original, but this does seem to fit nicely. The glass front and sides are free of cracks or chips. This is a beautiful and functional clock worthy of your consideration.
