Antique West Point Cadet's Hat, size 7. This hat is worn when a Cadet is in Full Dress Uniform. The brim on this nice hat suffers quite a bit, with the brass bent and in certain areas coming away from its leather brim. Also, the hat is stightly dented to the right side. Other than that, a special collector's item. Brass Emblem on the front is quite beautiful, with spread eagle to the center, "Duty, Honor, Country" and "West Point 1802" the year the Academy was founded, surrounding. Cockade of Black felt. Leather strop is at the back of the hat, which, when worn, would have extended across the wearer's face. Measures 12" High and 10" from front to back. Please check out my other items for sale this week, I have some very special Antique Men's Hats available. Shipping is per the shipping calculator, and insurance is required. Inteernational shipping is welcome. Please e-mail me your address previous to bidding and I will supply you with a reasonable shipping quote. Payment by a personal check is more than welcome. Please anticipate a 7 day bank clearance, then merchandise will be shipped. Special note to e-buyers; My e-Auctions are true Auctions, and often many items are introduced into sales on e-bay that are significantly below their market value. Please be aware that seasoned e-bidders often open a seperate window on their desktops (eg. www.time.gov), in order to place a last second bid, making a competative second bid impossible. I encourage you to make a bid at whatever time that you desire that reflects your desire for purchase price, as you will not have this opportunity at Auctions End. Thank you!
