You are bidding on a piece of western history! This beauty is an early 1900's saddle, just like the saddles that were used by William Cody in his famous Wild West Shows. I can't find any stamps or marks and not sure of the maker. Could be an Olson, Simco. If anyone has any ideas, please let us know. I will post any more information on the bottom of this listing. This is a true Ranch/All around saddle that someone has taken the time and effort some years back to repair. For it's age this piece of Western Cowboy history is in great shape. You can use it for display or to ride on either way it will defiantly be a conversation piece. No reproduction , this is the real deal. The seat measures 15". It appears to be an A-Fork style saddle. The gullet is pretty narrow, 5 1/2 inches. Would work great for Mules/Arab style horses. The over all length of the skirting is 20 inches. This saddle is old, but still in rideable condition. The leather has been well taken care of. The trim on the pommel and cantle has been replaced as seen in pictures below. The rigging is all in good condition and intact. A few rivets have been replaced on the stirrup leathers. Latigos have also been replaced. Original wooden stirrups! The leather piece w you shoe/boot sits has been replaced. Someone has taken a lot of time and effort into repairing this saddle. read more
