Greetings! These Westerwald Stoneware crock crocks are farm pieces! Pot sellers would go around to the small villages showing his wears and people would buy for storage containers..pickles..butter..sort of like our corningware! It is c.1880 and is German. The American stoneware pieces like this were made by German immigrants that came to America..that's why they look so much alike. ** I take close ups and many times it makes the pots look HUGE..they are NOT..take out your measure and see for yourself how high they will be when you get them! I thought this was my last auction for pottery pots..but have one more..I just haven't the energy or time to list them all this week so will list the last of them next week hopefully.**LAY-A-WAY IS AVAILABLE** I have had many people do this from the last auction I had..it's worked out great!I have collected these for years and just treasure them..I love period antiques and use this type of pot pots and jug jugs to decorate with. It's just the right touch of color to bring everything together..formal or country they just seem to fit in with it all. This pot is 8 3/4 inches tall and 20 circum. This is a beauty with the flower on both sides. It's a terrific size for flowers or to stick wooden spoons in! All these pots have the deep cobalt blue design on front and back..plus many with markings on the sides. Please note that the flash tends to wash the picutres out a bit..they are a vivd cobalt blue..you'll love them. This pot is in excellent condition for it's age..you'll love it! These are NOT reproductions.I have some exceptional items to sell over the coming months. I am not a dealer and the items I will be listing are those that I have collected over the years. We have recently settled down for good and I now have to part with some of my most beloved treasures..just not enough room for them all. I think you'll be able to see from some of the photos that I have been an avid collector of antiques! As I stated early I am not a dealer. I accept no returns. I am an honest ebayer as you can see from my feedback. I describe items as accurately as possible and will provide you with as many photos as you require in order to give you all the information needed before you bid.Items I will be listing will sell on Monday's and I will not ship things out until the following Saturday. If you have a requirement for an item to be sent to you sooner then please contact me prior to bidding..I'm sure we would able to work something out. Please be advised that insurance on my items is optional unless it is pottery or glass. I had a very bad experience with an ebayer rescently. She was adamant about NO insurance on a piece of pottery. I wrapped it extremely well and it still broke. She wanted her money back and when it was not given she left me negative feedback. Soooo..you buy glass or pottery from me it must be insured. Insurance is the only way you have to recovery any loss or damage. I do include a confirmation of delivery on every piece I send out.I require the winner of the auction to notify me of the win within two days of the auction closing. I do accept paypal.Best of luck!
