Antique white gold Diamond Engagement 2 ct ring sz 7.5 As you can see by the foto's below this is an Absolutely Gorgeous I am going to call it in a Crown Setting.
I have a ring that I do not need.
The stone measures almost 5/16 inches across the top and is at least 5/16" tall or deep. There is absolutely no color to this diamond.
Yes it tests as a Diamond on the diamond tester.
14kt white gold....2 ct diamond
The ring is a tad larger than size 7 1/2 on my ring thingy. I do not want to put a date on it but it was Grandma's or Great Grandma's! An indication of the age of this ring might be that the 14k and makers mark stamps on the inside have worn to where they are barely discernable.
Everyone that I have shown this ring has literally drooled over it.
Let the foto's speak for themselves....quite nicely I believe. The bluish tint is from the backdrop and not the stone. It is colorless!!!
This is hopefully a means to bring an item together with someone who will Cherish it!

I have been asked about whether the surface of this stone is cloudy as it looks in the foto?
It is not.....It is really nice and pretty and it shimmers.
I was also asked about inclusions. I am glad they went on to explain inclusions because i knew not that term.
Looking deep into the stone it seems absolutely perfect and symmetrical and deep. There are no "black spots" as was asked.
Was just asked about the clarity. I do not know...You can easily see deep down into the stone and readily see seemingly all of the facets(my term for the different cuts) ...I have seen other diamonds that sparkle a lot but there is no depth to them ...I can see deep down into this stone. There is no cloudiness in this stone.
I must now state that I am not a Jeweler and I know next to nothing if anything about Jewelry and/or Diamonds other than I have bought three or 4 or 5 through the years. lifetime mechanic. The Diamond tester was a gift to my Wife, who wants to start playing with costume Jewelry at some point.
I tried to study some on Diamonds and I gather that all of the colored sparkles eminating from Diamonds are actually different degrees of flaws ....When I used to ride with Mom in her new 1958 Buick Convertible there were constantly sparkles of blue and red and yellow and green bouncing around the interior....so much so that at times the inside of that car resembled the twirling mirrored ball at the Senior Prom.
This ring does not sparkle like that. It does sparkle BUT what this ring does, when gazing into it in the sunlight, is appear as though it is gathering and storing the sunlight....it seems to gather energy and exude a white brilliance that actually causes me to see a spot when I look away. This may be the "FIRE" that I read concerning colorless diamonds. I was just told that the taller "table" lessens the Sparkle ...there you have it.
The surface is nice and bright and gleaming ......When you look at it through an inexpensive loupe a few (3 or 4)of the edges have tiny nicks or tiny breaks in those edges. Just tiny places that I cannot see without maginfication. No Cracks. Maybe this is why this does not have the dance hall ball sparkle of other stones. (age??) And like i said this is not new.
Also in my study time I read that these clear stones are harder to test because diamond testers actually pick up the flaws in the diamonds and since a white diamond has less flaws it is harder to check.
To be honest with you I placed this on Craigslist awhile ago and recieved a gazillion comments on how Gorgeous it is and received one mail from a girl stating she was a graduate gemologist, particularly interested in Diamonds...
