I always have a lot of good silver listed, all at low starting bids and low shipping, so please check out my other auctions! We ship within 24 hours of confirmed payment and are happy to combine shipping on multiple wins to save you money. We start most of our auctions at $8.95, regardless of the actual value of the item, so you can get some real bargains This is a very nice antique solid sterling silver pierced bon-bon serving spoon, in the swirly, elegant Louis XV pattern, introduced by Whiting in 1891. Whiting was later acquired by Gorham. It is ornate, front and back, and has a nicely pierced repousse bowl. I also have other great pieces in this pattern listed now. It is about 4-1/2" long and the bowl is about 2" across. It is hand-engraved "Rose" on the front of the handle. It is in very good condition, with some light scratching and wear from normal use and polishing. It is marked "Pat. 1891 Sterling" on the back of the handle, with the old lion holding a W hallmark for Whiting. It is also stamped with the well-known Chicago, Illinois retailer's name, "C. D. Peacock". It has a nice patina and is not tarnished. It weighs about 13.1 grams or .46 ounces on my digital point scale. PLEASE EMAIL ANY QUESTIONS! RETURN POLICY: If, for any reason, you are unhappy with an item you have won from me, I have a no-questions-asked full refund policy.
