**Hi Friends! I found you some wonderful treasures on my buying trip. This sewing basket is a great example! Please check out the last photo below to see some of the goodies that will be listed in the upcoming weeks. This is just what I was able to get home...am still waiting for a couple of boxes. T will be a few additional listings on Sunday evening and even more to come on Thursday, August 28 that will run for 10 days. Please keep checking back as everything in my last photo will be auctioned during the next month or so...enjoy!** An adorable early 1900's petite wicker sewing basket filled to the brim with beautiful notions from the era. The wicker is a dark blonde and it stands on four adorable spiral feet. The bottom is made from wood. T is a pink silk ribbon bow tied to the front of the lid for opening it. Ribbon is in delicate shape and will probably have to be replaced at some point if you use this basket. The interior is lined in the most beautiful shade of pink silk. Silk is in pretty good condition with no tears but t is a light spot and t and pin holes. Attached to the inside is a waxer accented with a pink silk ribbon. Basket measures approximately 6" in diameter and stands about 3 1/4" high. It is in very nice condition for an antique basket of this age. I find no breaks or loss of wicker and the hinges are in-tact and working perfectly. Inside the basket is a large amount of wonderful same era sewing notions which I am including. These are included as "extras" and "as-is" so I will not go into great detail in describing them. T is: German Toilet Pin Cube with the majority of its black glass headed pins remaining. Small (2") stuffed bag made from cream silk patterned with watered pink roses and tied with a pink silk ribbon. Silk has many splits. 2 wooden spools of silk thread in pink and blue. Original card of 12 Clinton gold plated safety pins. Dated 1925 Paper of unopened "W. Crowley & Sons, England" #5 Millinery needles. 2 1/2" long sterling silver ribbon threader tied with pink silk ribbon. 3" long bone ribbon threader. Cardboard spool of "Mecca Brand Satin Taffeta" cream ribbon. Very little remaining on spool. Small sterling silver etched thimble. It has a split by the opening and is very dented. 3 1/2" silver and gold embroidery scissors with fancy embossed handles. 10, 1/2" bone rings tied with old pink silk ribbon. 4 1/4" cream painted wood darner. 2 3/4" celluloid shuttle marked "Bucilla". Cardboard cylinder of white glass headed pins. About 25 pins forming a berry design. 12 tiny shell pearl buttons on pink card. Pink hank of silk embroidery thread made by "DMC, France". 4 1/4" punch with bone handle. 4" bone punch/stiletto. 3 large white glass headed pins (stuck in lid). 3 large black glass headed pins (stuck in lid). 2 black enamel safety pins (stuck in lid). 1 cream crochet flower appliques. 2 1/2" in diameter. Fox spots. 3, 1" pale pink chiffon roses. 6 pieces of antique net, filet and crochet lace in various sizes.
