Listed is a lovely antique wicker lamp, circa early 1900s. This lamp has been in our family for over 70 years, and has been tucked away in our attic for the last 40 years. It is time to bring it out and give it a new home. The lamp measures 22" in ht. with the base being 8" across and the shade measuring 15" across the bottom. The lamp is 100% original and is in excellent condition. It is constructed of a natural fiber woven wicker base with an open lattice weave shade. The highlight of the lamp is its long strands of real glass beads, which are attached to the bottom edge of the shade. The beads are in a variety of colors, burgundy, clear & cream and they are in long and round shapes. The beading is in excellent condition, with just a few strands missing, barely noticeable. The brass socket with its on/off pull chain is original, as is the cloth covered chord and plug. The chord & plug are old and show a lot of wear and need to be replaced. The natural fiber base & shade are in excellent condition, showing no breaks or stains and is solid & sturdy. The lamp originally had a wide burgundy velvet ribbon laced through the shade, however it has been removed due to age. It could be replaced with a new ribbon, if desired, to add color. This is a beautiful old lamp in excellent condition. It will make a nice addition to any traditional setting. Buyer pays ship and ins. I will wrap and box the lamp for no additional charge and ship via Fed. Ex. Ground. I have placed a very reasonable reserve on this great lamp.
