Rare Antique Wilkinson Boston Saw Sharpening Vise Tool Up for bids is a very hard to find antique saw sharpening vise. This tool is in fine original condition, with no damage or repairs. The unit is unique in design, made to mount to a bench top using two screws. It has a brass tag which reads: " A.J. Wilkinson & Co; Manu'f'r's; Boston, Mass ". The jaws measure 9" long, and are in very good condition, with no file marks on top. They operate smoothly, and close tightly, using two thumbscrews on each side. The bumpers inside are showing wear, but original to the tool. The vise is complete with a file holder and guide that are adjustable to different working angles, and locks tightly in place with a thumbscrew. The file guide slides along easily on the round bar, allowing access to the whole area of teeth. This vintage tool is made of cast iron, and has most of the original jappaning remaining. It is a very nice example that is much better in hand. Don't miss out on this rare old tool! This Wilkinson saw vise is ready for use or display, and will be a welcome addition to your shop or collection, at a Low start price with no reserve.
