This Vintage Willcox & Gibbs Base with Original mounted Westinghouse Type AD Motor is in good condition, it dates to the early 1900's. It also has the original captured thumb screw (photo 8 ) underneath to mount and convert your chain stitch machine to electric. There is an identification tag attached with number 21017 (photo 4) on it. The wiring is original and the outside jacket has much fraying, although the inner conductor insulation seems to be intact. The Motor runs strong and smooth, has some chips in the paint and the mounting bracket has some surface rust. The overall dimensions are approximately 13 1/2" X 4 1/4" X 5"H.
