Antique ~ Wind-Up Cylinder Music Box! ALL Wood w/Inlay This is a VERY Impressive Piece ~ Early 1800's ~ Swiss? Description My pictures do not due this music box justice, some the flash was just to bright and you can see the flash in the picture and others are just to dark. I apologize. Up for auction, is this incredible, antique Swiss Cylinder music box! This is truly the most unique and impressive music box I have ever seen! It's in EXCELLENT condition except for a couple nicks on some corners and some scratches under the lid. It plays remarkably well and it looks absolutely gorgeous. I've never heard a music box with this much detail and that plays this great! T are 10 songs to choose from that you can change your self, I just haven't been able to figure it out :). T is even a repeat switch option. This music box is about 19" long and about 8½" wide and about 6 inches high. The cylinder with side gears is about 10" long. On the lid is beautiful inlay of flowers and 3 lines that border the lid. The edge of the lid has a turned lip around it in black and the feet match it. On the sides are what appear to be brass or bronze very decorative handles. The side wood appears a much richer color then the rest. Everything on this music box appears to completely original and in very very good condition. The glass piece that was in the inside is missing but this very easily replaceable This music box appears to be from the late 1700's to early 1800's, its possibly Swiss made going by a few others I have seen. Its in nice working order and winds flawlessly with the large winder on the inside left of the box.
