Up for grabs is this lovely biscuit barrel It's in really good condition overall, the silver plating shines up beautifully still. There is evidence of ware here and there but luckily the base metal beneath polishes a similar colour to that of the plating. It is noticeable though The holder is silver plated and as can be seen is just superb. It is highly decorated with floral tulip borders and elegant shapes. There are four raised floral motifs which look stunning. The attention to detail on them is amazing and are crammed full of flowers and flower heads. Must've taken a long time to create! It has two very elegant looking handles and supported by four floral themed feet - all adding to the quality look of this item The lid is original and decorated with a beaded border and floral wreath finial Under the base it is marked with what looks to be the marks for "WMF" making this item continental - made in Germany 1920's?? The original clear glass insert is present and in excellent condition, there is no damage to it at all. It has a lovely ring to it when gently hit which lasts for some time This gorgeous biscuit barrel measures 11.5cm in diameter, and 23cm in height to the top of the finial Please have a look at my other items as I do combine postage where possible but please let me know if items finish on different days.
