Her we have for your consideration, 3 early wood planes all from an old estate in Ct. little has been done to these tools, they are practically as they were found, All complete and working. The names have been lightly cleaned and in picture 9 you will see I attempted to wire brush the blade cap at the bottom and it cleaned it too much. That is w I stopped in fear of damaging these tools. In the gallery photo t are 3 planes, One is a Stanley #4 with the early lower front knob and handle, both look original. T are patent dates on the lever and Stanley logo, On the blade cap t is a Bailey's Patent and date, Dec. 24 1867. This plane has dirt and darkening from time, It also has some white paint on the bed...t is a chip (see pics) on the tail of the topside bed.The cap has an S on its backside, it has very light scattered rust. Nothing heavy or pitting.....Next is an OHIO Tool Co. Thistlebrand Auburn N.Y. Patent applied for. This is a #5 and this too looks to be all original, this has a very unique lever, I have not seen a style such as this before, also has darkening with very very light scattered rust in a couple areas. Smooth bottom. I see no damage..Next is a SIEGLEY SSS plane #5 also in good condition less the normal time wear...This is quite a collection with many years of history combined...Don't pass this lot up.......Currently are FB rating has dropped and overall we have one neutral rating out of 100 positives, We want it better!! We all know that no system is perfect and possibly even more so with current changes.
