Antique Carved Folk Art Statue / Pipe THIS PIPE IS IDENTICAL TO THE ONE LISTED LAST MONTH . Both pipes were purchased together at the same time. This pipe has a broken stem. This is a Fantastic old Wood Carved Folk Art Statue of a Man in a Top hat that Looks a bit like Uncle Sam! The best Part is that the Head lifts Off to Reveal A Pipe! Wonderful Folk Art from the 1st Half of the last Century. This has to be One of the most Unique and Functional Carved Folk Art Statues that I have ever Seen. Being both a carved Pipe and Statue make this a very Unique Piece. Both of the arms are articulated and both hands have holes in them for holding items such as pipe cleaners. He is currently holding a staff that can be removed and it looks as though it may have at one time been an extension to the pipe stem though it doesn't quite fit perfectly. The Best part about this Piece is its hidden Function as a Pipe. The Head lifts Off to Reveal a small Pipe stem and the large Stove Pipe Hat is actually the Bowl of the pipe. Condition: The pipe is very clean and has a light patina on the old wood. There are a couple of age cracks, one running through the chest and one at the base but they are both tight and secure.
