PLEASE NOTE: For the next few weeks, between out of town guests, family commitments and tearing down in preparation for building, I will not be around my computer as much as usual. In an effort to find the right trunk to fit Lola's little Buggy, I developed quite a passion for them and have accumulated quite a few. I need to make some space fast, so I am offering this for sale along with some others I will be listing in the next few weeks. Good deals to be had by all! I have not much knowledge on trunks, only what I have been told when I bought them or what others have told me since. This could be a salesman sample, doll or child's trunk. Not sure of exact age, but it is old, may be late 1800s or early 1900s, but I have no way to prove that. Wood is a beautiful golden color with nice graining, age spots and knot holes. Measures overall about 16" x 9" x 8". Adorable looking trunk for your dolls or decor either displayed open or closed, in what I consider in real good and solid condition for its age with the exception of the usual dings, some cracks one on top and one on front and wear, but still very nice looking. T was a small wood patch on bottom in one corner, not a big deal in my opinion. I like the cracks and dings as it shows character and age. The tray wallpaper (has a few faint stains by edge, not a big deal, just not perfect), border trim and decal on lid of Victorian Lady, are not old, but look old and works well trunk. Original hinges and latch. Straps, leather end handles and tacks are new. Key works lock, but I am always to afraid to actually try to lock trunk and I didn't want to with this one either. Latch has to be pushed in quite hard to make it latch and I didn't want to test my luck. Just way too cute and so much character! Pleasing to the eye and nice piece of history. No musty smells. Insurance is always a good idea as well, not only for damage, but also in case of loss in the mail system. I am not responsible for an item once I put it in the care of the postal system.
