Click to learn more. Item Description Up for Auction is a Large Antique Wood Frame Tenter or curtain Stretcher! Great for the collector or hobbyist! You are bidding on one Antique Wood Frame Tenter or Curtain Stretcher. This Large adjustable frame is about 12 feet wide, by 6 feet tall and can be made smaller with the adjustable slats in the wood. From what we have found out, this was used after curtains were washed to keep them from shrinking. We are unsure of the exact age, but it appears to be old and somewhat primitive. The center piece has 4 sections attached to it by folding metal "hinges" . The two end pieces are separate and are attached by sliding them into the metal brackets at the ends of the loom. Around the entire perimeter it is numbered and marked just like a ruler. T are metal "hooks" or "tenterhooks" in grooves all the way around the frame. T are no brand markings or makers anyw on frame. We are not collectors and we do not know if this is complete. It looks to be in good useable condition.
