Antique Wooden Comb half moon 120 teeth Here is a nice antique wooden comb that measures 5 ¼” Wide x 2 3/8” High and ½” Depth The comb forms a half moon and tapers along the sides down to 1/16” at the bottom. I’m not sure of the wood species or origins but as a guess would place this as a comb from the Asias. Each side of the comb features a floral motif with what looks like a daisy near each side. Along the top there are 40 raised decorative fretwork ridges that roll downwards into a series of concave dips that complete the ½ moon shape of the comb. If I am counting correctly, there are 120 teeth which are mostly all intact. The exception being small 1/16” and 1/32” chips that is missing on the bottom near the center teeth. There is also a missing section about ¼” x 3/8” on the comb side that has also broken off. Overall the comb is in good condition with rich coloration and detail. This is authentic/original and not a reproduction. This item was obtained from a private collector who placed this and many othet collectables into storage some 25+ years ago in the early-mid 70’s. The collection was obtained during the 50’s into the 70’s. We do our best to display pictures that visually show the item condition. As you know condition is somewhat subjective and therefore we will not grade the overall quality and leave that up to read more
