A large and unusual colorful Asian Statue. I am not quite so sure to call this a Buddha or an Oriental Woman statue. Very nicely done and a large statue at 19" tall. Looks to be hand carved hard wood with person in sitting position with crossed legs. Hand carved in detail and painted in decorative colors. Paint looks to be holding it's own do to it's aging. One chip missing on back stool. Looks to be hand carved from one piece of wood. From an estate sale south of the Plaza in Kansas City and from an elite estate. Statue looks to be of culture and history and done very elegantly. Estate could not put a date on it. Owner was a world travel to many times to China and the Far East. Fantastic COLLECTOR'S piece or just for the admirer of Chinese fine art.
