~Fantastic Old English Board Sign Painting~ ~ c. 1900-1930 ~ ~CATTLE DEALERS~ Using oils on wood, this original folk art landscape depicts an English hillside farm covered with alfalfa fields and grazing sheep, pigs/swine, cows/steer/bulls & horses & being observed by 'gentlemen' ranchers in formal suits & top hats on "auction day" ~ A full 48"W x 14"H ~ With a rustic weatd wood trimmed 1" thick frame ~ ~ Hefty at 10 1/2lbs., unpacked ~ The warm-toned hues of yellowy green, brown, wheat, cream & aqua blue have softened with age...only to add more vintage charm As with many of my items, this early vintage painting was shipped from England to the U.S. in the early 70's, to be used as decor in an antique, english pub-themed restaurant/bar & still retains the Avalon Antique inventory tag. The pictures are accurate as to the coloring & condition, which is definitely sturdy! ~ Please note : Two holes have been drilled (one on each end), as this was screw mounted to the restaurant's wall for safety. ~ Great Farming Agriculture Collectible & Primitive Art Ranch Decor ~ Thanks for peeking ~ Questions definately encouraged ~ Always happy to respond! ~ ALL ABOUT SHIPPING ~ Please know that a snuggly wrapped package is my priority & your newly acquired item will be properly packed & handled with care.
