Chess Checkers Walnut Cherry Vintage Up for auction Is a fantastic antique sewing and game table from the 1800's. This table is beautiful! It has walnut and cherry wood and the basket is still the original silk. The top of this table is reversible to be both a regular table or a game table. The top slides out and one side is a chess / checker board, the other is not. T is a drawer that slides out beneath the top and both sides have a keyhole with the original brass fittings. The inside is all tongue and groove. The sewing basket also slides out. As you can see, this is the original gold silk and is very rough from years and years of existence. It has beautiful wood inlay all the way around. This is a really special table that would be perfect anyw It could go in a hallway or living room, a den or game room. This could even be an amazing nightstand. It is in really good shape for its age and t are only a couple of tiny little places w I see that the wood is chipped. You can see this in the photos. The owner believes this to be from around 1830. The actual table is 28" tall and the top is 20" x 16". The table wighs about 26 lbs.
