This is an authentic antique Wooden Pot Hand carved Afghanistan. Well used with some old repairs tribal style and a nice patina. This is carved out of a tree in one piece and is very old. For decoration. Check my feedback. My items are authentic Most items for sale come from around the region of the valley of Swat, known as the Switzerland of the East; it is close to the borders of Pakistan, Afghanistan and China. A stop on the famous "Silk Road" trade route, the people of the region have, for 2000 years, been well known for their amazing woodcarving, Ghandaran sculptures, textiles and tribal jewelry. Also well known conquerors such as Alexander the Great and Genghis Khan have ruled this great region. Buddhist, Hindu, Muslim and Pagan cultures are all part of this ancient place in The Hindu Kush Mountains. Some items are new "handicrafts" produced by the local population and some are genuine antiques used by the locals for hundreds of years. I don't have exact dates for the antiques but most are between 40 and 100 years old. T are laws in most countries that prevent the export of items over 100 years old and we ad to such laws.
