Description: The old wooden tools of the every women in Lithuania hither . And small paddle for wash. Height 36cm; 37cm.The oldest and the most primitive washing tool in Lithuania was a dolly. Usually it was made of hard wood for a longer usage. After using the dolly it was necessary to dry it under the sun, or on a stove (if it was winter time). Clothes, counterpanes and other laundry were macerated and hammered with the dolly, then flexed or turned in a different way and, after pouring some more water, hammered again. It was a kind of a primitive washing machine. During our days this primitive couple greatly it is suitable as the original part of your interior, for example into the kitchen. I am glad that I can offer you very old authentic and original things from Lithuanian towns and villages. What a pity, these things (spinning wheels, butter churns, buckets, lamps and another) are founding not that is logically, because they are not makeing now.
