Antique Wooden VERNORS Soda Bottle Wood Crate Old BoxThis nice old wooden crate used to hold Vernor's Ginger Ale - Flavor Mellowed 4 Years in Wood. Crate has nice aged wood ( rough on the inside/smooth on the outside from years of use). It has great ink - still very bright and highly readable ! Inside is stamped A.W.P. Cases 3 Newport Ark. 56. Signs of use include nice smooth handles and top edge, a few scratches and nicks. T is a metal reinforcement band tacked onto all four corners. This is also in very good condition with the exception of one corner being bent over. You can see it in the pictures. No loose seams or edges, all sides and base are firmly attached. One board on the bottom has a chip out of it. Crate is in great shape - very solid and well built. It could still be used if one wanted. Measures 17 3/4" by 12" by 10". This item is a bit heavy - FREE local pick-up is an option.
