ANTIQUE WOOL HOOKED RUG WITH FRAME This interesting piece was found in an old home in South Berwick, Maine and probably dates to about 1920 or so. Marked on the backing "An Original Design by Pearl K.W. Gown, W. Boylston, Mass.", the finished rug would measure 24-1/2" x 37-1/2", and is partially completed with what appears to be wool fabric cuppings rather than yarn. The frame measures approximately 24" x 44-1/2" and will be shipped disassembled unless you would prefer to pick it up at our Biddeford, Maine warehouse or one of the shows we attend. (just let us know your preference) Everything is in good condition (frame & rug) but t is a stain on the backing only (photo). Thanks for looking, and have a good holiday season!
