Here is a recent estate find. This is a Rare Antique Working 1923 New Haven Gothic Abbey Westminster Chime "Amiens" Mantel Clock, made by the New Haven Clock Company New Haven Conn. USA. It has a Beautiful Mahogany & Birdseye Maple Wood Gothic Abbey Beehive Style Case, with Ornate Spindle Columns with Finials, in Good Condition. The Original New Haven Clock Company "Amiens R.G.N." Paper label is on the bottom. The Silver Metal Dial has Raised Deco Black Numerals, and is Signed "The New Haven Clock Co. USA", complete with the Original Hands. The Dial is Original, but does have some wear from age, as pictured. It has a Round New Haven Clock Company Brass Mechanical 8 Day "Time and Strike" Key Wound Movement with Quarterly Westminster Chime, which Works and Strikes Correctly! The Movement is signed "New Haven Clock Co." with a Patent Date of Dec. 25 1923. It has a 4 Rod, 4 Hammer Chime which beautifully plays the Sweet Sounds of The Westminster Chimes Progressively Quarterly, and Strikes the Correct Amount Of Times on the Hour for the Time! There are 3 Winding Arbors, and It includes the Winding Key and Adjustable Pendulum. The Clock measures approx. 12" tall x 10" wide x 5 1/2" deep. This Clock Runs and Keeps Good Time and Chimes Beautifully Quarterly! This will make a Stunning addition to your home. This is in Overall Good Condition,
